At MyAcademicMentors we take your privacy seriously. We're a business, GDPR-compliant, and we don't sell, share, or trade student data. This page explains in plain English what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account info: name, email, optional phone number.
- Order info: assignment briefs, files you upload, communications with your mentor.
- Payment info: handled by Stripe and PayPal - we never see or store your card details.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited (via Google Analytics).
How we use it
- To deliver the service you paid for.
- To match you with the right mentor.
- To send order updates and (if you opt in) marketing emails.
- To improve the website (anonymised analytics only).
Who we share it with
Nobody outside of:
- Your assigned mentor (only your brief - never your name or university).
- Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal).
- Email providers (Resend) to send transactional emails.
- Global authorities if legally required.
Your rights under Global GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access your data.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
